Merzouga is the main gateway to the wonders of Erg Chebbi, a stretch of dunes in southern Morocco not far from the border with Algeria. There are no major historical monuments, but it is one of the most visited in Morocco because it is where tours to the great dunes of Erg Chebbi depart from. Discover the magic of the Merzouga desert on a 3-day trip from Marrakech. Admire breathtaking sunsets and sleep under the stars in a Bedouin camp for an unforgettable desert adventure.

Day 1 : Marrakech / Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou / Oasis of Skoura / Valley of Roses / Boumalne Dades
Departure from the riad at around 7:30 to begin your tour to the Dades Valley, where we will spend the first night. We will cross Tizi-n-Tichka in the High Atlas Mountains, where we will stop to appreciate the mountain views and take some photos. In the afternoon, visit the village of Ait Ben Haddou, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is the famous backdrop for many films, including "Lawrence of Arabia", "Gladiator" and "Alexander". We will have lunch here before continuing our journey enjoying the natural beauty of the landscapes and historical monuments. We will continue to the Valley of the Roses, renowned for the Rose Festival. We will also pass through the small Berber villages of Skoura and Boumalne Dades. Dinner and overnight in a Riad in Dades.

Day 2: Dades Gorges / Tinghir / Todra Gorges / Tinjdad / Erfoud / Merzouga
After breakfast, we will depart from the Dades Gorges towards the Erg Chebbi desert in Merzouga. Berber villages are scattered along the road. Along the way, we will make a stop and a short walk to visit the famous Todra Gorge in Tinghir. Continuing, we will pass by Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud where we will feel the beginning of the pre-Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. Arrival in Merzouga and meeting with your camels. The luggage will be taken by car to the camp. On the back of the camel we will venture through the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. This is a perfect opportunity to take beautiful photos of the great dunes as they light up with the setting sun. When we reach the camp, we will leave the camels and walk towards the highest sand dunes to watch the sunset. We will spend the night in a tented camp. Dinner in the desert to the rhythm of traditional drums and desert songs. End of the evening dedicated to watching the magical starry sky!

Day 3: Merzouga / Rissani / N'Koub / Draa Valley / Agdez / Ouarzazate / Marrakech
An early start to the day so you can watch the sunrise before getting back on the camel and then on the car. Departure for the village of Khamlia, known for its black African inhabitants where you can watch a lovely show of Gnawa music. Departure for Rissani (first imperial city of Morocco). Then continue to the Draa Valley to visit the Kasbah of Tamnougalt, in the heart of the valley.... Arrival in Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt. Continuation and arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
